Contract Attorney in Vero Beach, Florida
A simple rule with any agreement: don't sign what you haven't read or don't fully understand. Many disputes begin with a signature someone later regrets.
Bring me the document first, whether it's a business deal, a construction contract, a lease, or a settlement, and I'll tell you what it says, what's missing, and what I'd change.
Charles H. Sanford, Esq.

Common questions
How much does a contract review cost?
Usually a modest flat or hourly fee, far less than the cost of a contract dispute. Call and describe the agreement, and I'll quote a price before we start.
Is a handshake deal enforceable in Florida?
Some oral agreements are enforceable; others, by law, must be in writing; contracts for the sale of land are the classic example. Either way, proving an oral agreement is difficult, and putting it in writing is almost always worth it.
The other side sent a contract and says it's 'standard.' Is it?
Form contracts are typically written to favor the party who drafted them. An hour of review now can save a great deal of trouble later.
